The predefined settings are (as usual) guestimates. I would really like
to do some experiments lettings different 0-ply, 1-ply, 2-ply, 3-ply and
possibly 4-ply play some matches and do a post-mortem analysis with
4-ply or rollouts.
We could obtain the error rate per move and see if the Expert setting
really is an expert setting!
