It also happens with a clean install of the 020813 build.
So not only with the 0209xx builds.

Run GNUBg
Change the width of the GNU Backgammon window so that the board just fits
into it.
(a bit smaller, and the board gets smaller, width and height)

File... New Match...
(whatever match lenght... well: i checked 5 and 7)
Either bot rolls or human gets the dice.

Click Edit

Change the score of bot and human (I took: gnubg 2, User 1)

Click Edit

The window's width gets bigger (approximately 40 pixels, raw guess) and
can't be made smaller again.
