Under FreeBSD, here are the results for gcc 2.95 -O2 and gcc 3.2 -O2,
with and without inlining EqualKeys():


no inline
real    22m58.945s
user    22m40.198s
sys     0m0.484s

real    23m30.233s
user    23m11.330s
sys     0m0.625s

no inline
real    21m51.666s
user    21m32.030s
sys     0m0.563s

real    22m59.310s
user    22m38.078s
sys     0m0.586s

inlining EqualKeys doesn't help, switching versions is just under 5%
