After Edit / Enter Command
and typing:
help set sound

Usage: set sound <subcommand>

Available subcommands:
sound Set sound files
enable Select whether sounds should be played or not
system Select sound system

After Edit / Enter Command
and typing
help set sound enable

Usage: set sound enable on|off

So maybe:
Edit / Enter Command
and type:
set sound enable off

?
