That's a good idea actually. Another option might be a stack of chequers.

Yes, I know. I've read almost all of the SGF documentation. And I was
thinking of this too when I wrote my comment. But I wrote it anyway. :)
Actually, I only know few of the (20) games that sgf supports and neither
how many dice are used in Go. (Obviously none as Nardy writes.) For e.g.
chess and Othello the dice wouldn't be appropriate.
So it seems an icon for all those games is not feasible.

You mentioned this some time ago. Unless you really want to do this, I
don't see any need.
