Hi all,
I'd like to give the .gnubg directory some use and clean up the dot files
in the home folder a bit. How about moving, if possible, all user specific
files to .gnubg?
Currently, the following files are looked for in the following places in
the specified order. For every file the one found first will be used
(except MET catalogs).
.gnubgautorc
$HOME
.gnubgrc
$HOME
.gnubg.gtkrc
$HOME, PKGDATADIR, current directory
.gnubgmenurc
$HOME
match equity tables
data directory (PKGDATADIR or specified with -d)
catalog for match equity tables
data directory (PKGDATADIR or specified with -d)/met/catalog, location of
$SGML_CATALOG_FILES,
./met/catalog, ./catalog
Note: This one works cumulative!
neural net weights (gnubg.weights, gnubg.wd)
data directory (PKGDATADIR or specified with -d)
gnubg_os0.bd
data directory (PKGDATADIR or specified with -d)
gnubg_ts0.bd
data directory (PKGDATADIR or specified with -d)
gnubg_os.bd
data directory (PKGDATADIR or specified with -d)
gnubg_ts.bd
data directory (PKGDATADIR or specified with -d)
hyper[123]d.bd
data directory (PKGDATADIR or specified with -d)
gnubg.scm
data directory (PKGDATADIR or specified with -d), current directory,
PKGDATADIR
gnubg.py
data directory (PKGDATADIR or specified with -d)
player record
$HOME/.gnubg/gnubgpr
Note: RecordEraseAll() checks for .gnubgpr in $HOME
boards.xml (system designs)
data directory (PKGDATADIR or specified with -d)
boards.xml (system designs)
$HOME/.gnubg/boards.xml
Any opinions or corrections? If there's a need this could be added to the
manual.
Regards,
Holger
