In fact, I've just found another reasonable classification.
That's the current one (with slightly clearer text, I think) :

     Wrong double (below DP)
     Wrong double (above TG)
Missed double (above DP) (around DP in GNUbg)
Missed double (around CP) (around CP in GNUbg)
Missed double (below TG) (arounf TG in GNUbg)

That's the last one I came up with :

     Wrong double (below DP)
     Wrong double (above TG)
Missed double (below CP) (and above DP, that's implicit)
Missed double (above CP) (and below TG, that's implicit)

Possible, but it would change the logic of course. I think CP happens to be often equal to TG so this would make the last category empty in some/many cases.

Absolutely, that is exactly what I meant when I wrote early in the thread that the additional information 'Missed double above CP' adds very little value-added in *practical* terms, even if perfectly satisfactory from a cerebral point of view. I'm really playing the Devil's advocate here, cause I too usually favor neat intellectual constructions :-)

May be I wasn't explicit enough in these early posts : if *not* exactly equal to TG as Holger stated, there is a vast majority of cases where CP stands extremely close to TG, and this is all the more true in match play. I've had literally hundreds of situations in on-line match play where I correctly cashed a position *without having missed a double* earlier in the game, and the 'No double' equity was something like in the range of 0.950 to 0.999, so extremely close to TG.

So here we go again, in that kind of situation that arises very often, 'Missed double (above CP)' adds very little info compared to the former 'Missed double around TG' category, which was covering both at the same time.
