Since you are using Linux, I can answer this one.

Put the tr.po in the gnubg po subdirectory

Edit gnubg/po/LINGUAS to read

da de address@hidden en_US ja it fr is tr

rm gnubg/po/stamp.po

cd gnubg/po

make && make install

This should create and install tr.gmo

I just tested this by copying is.po to tr.po, and doing the above
steps - now if I tell my PC that the current language is Turkish:

export LANG=tr_TR; gnubg, I get Icelandic rendered in ISO-8859-9

If it looks like what you expected, mail to the list again - I or
several other readers of this list can commit a copy of your current
tr.po and the LINGUAS file to CVS, so it will become part of the
distribution - I'd be glad to do this if you mail me a copy of tr.po,
but I will probably be away for the next two days, so if you are in a
hurry ask in the mailing list for someone else to commit this. It's
also possible for you to be given commit rights to CVS so you can keep
updating the translation as you go along. I'm not sure who would
be the one to arrange that though - I can't do it.
