Subject: [Bug-gnubg] A couple of PR requests

I had a couple of requests regarding the Player Records.

My Player Records is already several hundred players full, and often,
navigating through the list can be slow and inconvenient due to its
size. Could someone add a simple letter shortcut to jump to specific
parts of the list? i.e. The list is open and I press 'M' so it jumps to
the first player starting with an 'M'. This would certainly make things
easier for those who make serious use of the list.

For what it's worth, I don't know if it's well documented that you can
pretty much fly through the list to the location you want by clicking on the
location button in the scroll bar (at the right of the player records
window). If you hold down the mouse button and drag the locator button down
the page, you can easily jump to the record you need.

I agree the type-in feature would be 'nice to have', but I have over 800
players entered, use the player records frequently, and find
"drag-scrolling" (sorry, I have no clue if there's a standard term for this
action) to be quite convenient. If you haven't used it, give it a try! If
you have, and just don't find it convenient, please accept my apologies for
wasting your time, and I hope my comments will at least help someone else!
