Opps, the confusion is probably to do with Japanese names normally 
having the surname first, so TAKAHASHI Kaoru is probably correct, I 
guess it's in capitals as that's how he signs his emails.  I'll change 
them to both say Takahashi Kaoru.

I'm not an expert in Japanese...
