Just compiled the source from tonight, works like a charme ;-).
Did you try building with the #if !LINUX lines removed?
Perhaps two things to improve:
1. The dice are a bit too big compared to the board
You can change the dice size in appearance->general page.
2. I somethimes have to redraw the board (minimize/maximize the
window), because it does not always show the whole board. I can make
snapshots, if you need.
This may well be a graphic card/driver problem. Does it happen when the
window is moved from outside the screen or when another window moves
from on top? Also do you have the quick draw option set.
3. You _have_ to use at least 24-bit colour depth, with 16-bit it
crashes.
I'll double check but I'm sure it works here. Does it just crash?
Could be due to the 3d capabilities available at different colour
depths, it may be glxinfo that gives details on this. The size of the
stencil buffer may be a factor (especially if you're showing shadows).
