Yes, that's one good reason :-)

Yes, but writing in LaTeX only makes one format, namely postscript, look
fine. The advantage of writing in texinfo is that you can easily produce
info, man, postscript, pdf, html, from the same source.

Hopefully, because I don't see any way around having the documentation
written in texinfo.
