It took some fiddling (with autoconf stuff) but I was able to build
gnubg (no threads) with 3d on feisty. 3d problems may be specific to
the video card. (I am having other problems with 3d - xorg.conf is set
to provide multiple screen support, but video players will not play
with just one screen and so on. ubuntu X support for laptops is
getting better every release, but is still below par)
