I just tried out the new feature implemented
by Christian: you can mark moves and/or cube decision
and later you can:
- clear the marked moves/decisions
- view the marked moves/decisions
- roullout the marked moves/decisions
I gave it a quick try and seems to work
very fine. A few comments:
1. Naming of buttons/menus.
The button is named "Cmark"
(probably for checkmark ?), maybe a simple "Mark" is enough
The menus are named:
Analyze/
Cmark/
Cube/
Move
Game
Match
View
Clear
Analyze/
Rollout/
Cube
Move
Game
Match
Not very immediate to understand. maybe
something like:
Analyze/
Marked
plays/
All/
Game
Cube decisions (or plays or nothing)
Chequer decisions (or plays or nothing)
Rollout
View
Clear
2. View feature
The view feature just pops-up a text
window with the games and move numbers of marked plays.
It would be a lot better if it was possible
to navigate in the game record panel, with two extra buttons
(previous/next marked move). If this
is done, the View menu is probaly unnecessary and since you can
navigate easily through marked moves,
you can clear them with the Cmark button, hence the
Clear menu becomes of little use too.
In this case, only a rollout menu would be necessary:
Analyze/
Rollout
marked plays/
All
Game
Cube decisions (or plays or nothing)
Chequer decisions (or plays or nothing)
3. Minor: I see we're running out of
space in the Analysis Panel. In the bottom line
we have the buttons: Rollout/.../a/b/c/d/e/Move/Copy/Cmark/TM
Do we really need the Move button ?
It is used to move the selected move, but the same thing can
be done simply picking up the dice.
I would be in favor of removing the Move button and
expand TM to Temp.Map (or TMap or Temp).
