Yes. I think so.
Because I started it from copied gammon online code.
Aha... That was my code, years back.....(I'm not proud of that code now). It was before we utilised glib routines for such things. Can we clean this up a bit? Maybe every thing that exports a text string to to clipboard should be redesigned and written more general?

PS: Now I remember why I wrote it like that. I think it was because a function I used (drawboard?) took a file pointer as an argument. However I can't find this function in the code today.... :-)
