The code was tagged last weekend, I also spent that weekend doing 3 OS/X
builds (PPC, 32 bit Intel, 64 bit Intel). OS/X releases in the past have
never followed their MS Windows counterparts as it is requires a fair
amount of effort on some antiquated equipment to get the builds done. My
real life caught up to me and I didn't have time to complete testing of
the installers. An MS Windows release was also produced but again I made
no announcement since I didn't have time to do the final steps. I have
other commitments in the summer that get in the way.

The 1.0 releases have not been "officially" announced which allowed us
to work out the kinks especially on the MS Windows platform. Thanks to
the people that helped find the problems. A variety of issues crept in,
most especially the stack alignment issues for MS Windows. There was
also an issue that the universal non-SIMD releases produced inconsistent
analysis each time you ran it. I also wanted to wait until I could
properly compile the AVX code with optimization (also related to stack
alignment problems) and take that code out of the experimental stage.
Given that there were problems I decided to keep the releases to the
mailing list and off the gnubg.org site.

I spent the time building  OS/X releases from 1.02.000 because my
intention is that this release will be the first publicly available 1.x
release, as it has dealt with all the most glaring problems that had
been identified by the early adopters on this list.

With that being said, there actually is a 1.02.000 release for OS/X and
MS Windows and they have no links but are  available here:
