I have uploaded to gnubg.org early versions of a forthcoming 1.05.003
release. A source archive:
http://files.gnubg.org/media/sources/gnubg-1.05.003-RC2.tar.gz
and Windows binaries:
http://files.gnubg.org/media/windows/gnubg-1.05.003-RC2-i686.zip

I could only run the Windows version on a Windows 7 machine and a
Windows 10 virtual machine (where 3d boards were not usable). I would be
interested by feedback on other operating system versions. This version
should work on Windows 8, maybe on Vista but does not on XP.

There were occasionally messages in this list showing interest in
contributing to UI translations. If you have some updates pending, it
would be a good time to have them committed. This also would be the case
if you have corrections to suggest for the documentation:
http://cvs.savannah.gnu.org/viewvc/gnubg/gnubg/doc/gnubg/gnubg.pdf

Changes since the RC1 files :
Sources :
- minor python-related fixes
- minor translation-related fixes
Windows binaries :
- no 64 bits version, it doesn't seem useful
- in addition to the default version using sse2 instructions, binaries
using avx instructions (slightly faster on computers supporting them)
and other not using any simd instructions (substantially slower) are
provided
- many python-related prerequisites were missing and are now added back

What remains to be done :
- hopefully nothing at the source level
- trim the bundled python library : testing code and .pyc and/or .pyo
files are probably not needed
- package everything in an Inno Setup installer
