Hello all,
(Please cc me on replies that you want me to see, since I may not be
reading the list.)
I'm stepping down as the maintainer of the Debian gnubg package due to
lack of time. Since I've been packaging gnubg for Debian since 2005 (good
lord), I thought I'd let everyone know that the package will need a new
maintainer. The Debian package is also the source of the Ubuntu package.
I've just pushed an update to 1.08.003 with the 3D board re-enabled as
part of orphaning the package, so hopefully I'm leaving gnubg in good
shape. It's now marked as orphaned in Debian and is ready for anyone else
to adopt.
I'm afraid that I can't help with uploads or package sponsorship, but
there are groups within Debian such as debian-mentors that may be able to
help. I believe there is also a team in Debian devoted to packaging games
that may be able to provide assistance.
Thank you for the excellent software! I've gotten many hours of enjoyment
out of it over the years. Also thank you for being an excellent upstream
for packaging and for all of your helpful responses to my questions and
various mistakes and confusions.
