Thank you for reporting but the 3.0-rc1 is outdated.
You may want to use the 3.1-dev version instead, links to nightly builds
can be found at
https://sourceforge.net/projects/open-cobol/files/gnucobol/nightly_snapshots/
Concerning the test result of 3.0-rc1:
The unexpected pass is because the current version works only on some
system, the nightly builds don't fix this either but skip the test
unconditionally and adds a bunch of tests, part of those are currently
also skipped because they only work in the 4.0-early-dev and/or only
with some specific indexed libraries.
