The second fail is because of the file sanitizer:

fdsan: attempted to close file descriptor 3, expected to be unowned, actually owned by FILE* 0x78f6a14018

Insights in fixing that or even better patches would be welcomed.

Additional note: that environment needed -Wno-deprecated-non-prototype to be passed in CFLAGS to compile without warnings and to not fail tests 518 528 738 739 741 1063 1064 1065 because of the same when using cobc.
