Fedora 12, gcc-c++-4.4.3-4.fc12.x86_64
FYI, I pushed the grep changes, so if you get the latest,
revert the latest bootstrap.conf change (which avoids the
failing test), then ./bootstrap && ./configure etc. should
demonstrate the failure.
