This is due to an oddity in Solaris cc. A workaround against it was committed
to m4/longlong.m4 by Paul Eggert on 2007-11-13, in version 13 of longlong.m4.
But sharutils-4.11 ships with the previous version of longlong.m4, from

The current version of longlong.m4 in gnulib is version 16, and the current
version install by gettextize/autopoint 0.18.1 is version 14.

The release manager of sharutils ought to use the newest files from gnulib
(or from a stable gnulib release [1]) and the newest gettext release [2]
next time.
