I downloaded the GNUStep tarballs and compiled, but I
can't seem to start any apps. Here is the error I get
from openapp:

/usr/GNUstep/System/Apps/GWorkspace.app application
does not have a binary for this kind of
machine/operating system.

I have just compiled GWorkspace and looking at the
directories there is a binary in
/usr/GNUstep/System/Apps/GWorkspace.app/ix86/linux-gnu/gnu-gnu-gnu
which since I am running RedHat 7.1 on a intel p3 I
suspect is where it should go.

Ok, here are the versions of the diffrent componets of
GNUStep that I have downloaded:

gnustep-base-1.0.2
gnustep-gui-0.7.0
gnustep-make-1.0.1
gnustep-xgps-0.7.0
gnustep-examples-0.9.2

The example programs have the same error that I have
reported for GWorkspace so I don't think the error is
with GWorkspace.

gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.1 2.96-85)

I have looked through the openapp script and the
GWorkspace script that is placed in the GWorkspace.app
directory but I couldn't make out a place in there that
would be causing the error. Do I have the wrong
versions of some of the packages or is there something
else wrong with my set up? Thanks.
