Yes, that works. Thanks. Although using the Apple compiler it was easy. With the FSF compiler I had to use some odd tricks:

BUNDLE_LD       =  /usr/bin/ld
BUNDLE_LDFLAGS += -bundle -flat_namespace -undefined warning /usr/lib/bundle1.o
