Building GNUstep on Ubuntu 10.04 x64

Hi,

I'm having problems with the version of GNUstep that comes packaged with
Ubuntu 10.04. I can compile and run command line tools but GUI
applications cause a segfault in libgnustep-base.

I've tried uninstalling all the Ubuntu versions and building GNUstep
from source using the startup script. It hits and error and suggests
sending the logs to this address for assistance (attached).

Any suggestions you can provide would be most welcome.
