You need to distinguish between the libtiff itself and the website. The libtiff.org website might be outdated and moved to a different place, but you will still need this library, from what ever place you should get it for your specific operating system.

The other question is what are you trying to achieve by installing GNUstep on MacOSX?

The primary libtiff website (libtiff.org) is considered hijacked.[citation needed] While it now contains a mirror of the real site for current development, the libtiff.org site has not been updated since version 3.6.1. Because of this, much of the information contained therein is incorrect, including the current version number, authors, mailing list address, and the CVS information.

Naturally, I don’t want to install anything from the website GNUStep links to. Do you have any suggestions?
