IceCat 3.6 vs. 3.5.7 "sessionstore.js"

Good afternoon,

the other day I tried to make the switch from icecat-3.5.7
to icecat-3.6 on an OpensSuSE 11.1 (x86-32) machine
which has also seen several older self-compiled releases of icecat before.

I found that the 3.6 browser would not restore my tabs,
nor would it allow me to save its own state on exit -
"sessionstore.js" in my .gnuzilla/icecat/XXXXXXX.default/ directory
was not even being modified (different from most of the other files there).

After switching back to 3.5.7 (w/o me doing anything to the .gnuzilla tree),
the old tabs would re-appear, and the old version seems to working
just as fine as before.

Is this expected behaviour (under suitable conditions)? ...
