Can't 'make uninstall' under debian squeeze |

I've just downloaded icecat 3.6.8 source and I'm going to compile it.
But before that, I need to 'make uninstall' the previous release. The
thing is, I can't. I don't know why but I've been unable to issue that
command within Icecat source folder, after a complete install.
Anyone with the same kind of issue?
