More, in some countries (as is in Italy) if there is not any
explicit license statement or copyright notice (for example a simple
declaration like this: /* Copyright 2011 Foo */) it should legally
mean that the copyright owner has kept all the copyright rights
reserved.

So the right thing developers should ever do, is to clearly declare the
license they want to use when releasing code.
