This is sad news. Even if I had myself some issues with the GNUzilla
project over time (I tried using it for Trisquel several times with
limited success), I believe the project is needed not only as a
truly free replacement for Firefox, but as a way to raise awareness on
common bad practices on big projects of its kind.

So, I have a proposition: since I'm already maintaining the script
which generates our very similar Abrowser, it would be easy for me to
rename it and start publishing the generic tarball (which is actually
generated inside our deb sources) as GNU IceCat as well as I now do with
the debs.

What do you guys think?

    thanks, and sounds like a great way to not duplicate effort.  i always wondered why Abrowser and GNU IceCat were different projects?
