OK, found some more information not given in the original message to this
thread ...
spyblock comes with gnuzilla and already is a separate addon:

It is not distributed at addons.mozilla.org . Is the subject of this thread
adding spyblock to addons.mozilla.org ? This I guess can be done. (I won't do
it yet, because I don't know what exactly the difference of it from adblockplus
is. I may be able to upload it to addons.mozilla.org after I study it or find
documentation on the changes made.)
