David, myself, and another volunteer of the Free Software Directory have
discussed the idea of possibly contacting Mozilla once we've added a
bunch of add-ons to the Directory. Basically the mozilla add-on site
makes a lot of errors with the license information listed. It might be
useful for Mozilla to make use of our more meticulous process of
hand-checking licensing info on each add-on. Once we've added a lot more
add-ons to the directory we can consider approaching mozilla with
suggestions or ideas of ways we might be able to collaborate or
coordinate. Right now we have around 50 add-ons published as packages on
directory.fsf.org. In a discussion thread, I suggested that we check to
see what our data looks like after we've added 200 or so add-ons and if
it seems like Mozilla is continue to make a lot of mistakes then we can
consider contacting them.
