During my further research I've found out, that my aforementioned current 
problem
was addressed by another person with the same problem a month ago -

The person received an answer from you, Rubén, with questions.
As this person hasn't answered you, I simply pick up this thread.

I also have Windows 7 64 bit.

I've already explained, what it does when I execute it, in the last mail;
for simplification I copy and paste it as follows:

I have made sure, that I extract all files and execute the extracted icecat.exe,
not the zipped one. I extracted the installation zip file by right mouse click 
and then 'extract files...'
to a certain spot at my storage and made sure, that there are no .rar files or 
.zip files within the
extracted folder by using search function on the extracted folder for the 
aforementioned file types in vein.
