Follow-up Comment #1:

The base for this patch is the i18n patch from Isamu Hasegawa from IBM Japan,
which has already been applied to the CVS.



Anyway I have compared this patch to the CVS version.



I found two minor differences:

1) malloc-->xmalloc change -- I commited this immediately.

2) the following change to dfa.c:

   /* match with a character?  */

+  if (case_fold)

+    wc = towlower (wc);

   for (i = 0; i<work_mbc->nchars; i++)



I decided to fix this bug differently, see patch #3815.



That's all, I'll close this patch.
