I had ambivalent feelings about this.  It is possible that the
release would be unlucky, and the need for another relase would be
even stronger than current need for a release.

OTOH, the offer from bero is really good and I am grateful for it.
I think you could be appointed as a co-maintainer with me, if you
agree.
