Hi Jeff,

The repository version of grep-2.5.3 requires makeinfo. However, the
source release of grep-2.5.3, generated using 'make dist', does not. I
believe that any "generated" files are not included in the repository.
All the necessary generated files are (or should be) created before the
release source. You can download the latest (unofficial) release source
from:

http://www.dal-acm.ca/~taa/grep/
