Unfortunately, you downgraded the gnulib submodule in the process,
undoing some other bug fixes (gnulib commit e2b0e1a20b Sep 9).
Meanwhile, the previous version (commit 37b74cd90 Nov 3) is missing out
on several upstream gnulib changes that are probably worth including;
should we just upgrade all the way to today's gnulib instead of just
reverting your accidental downgrade?
