Follow-up Comment #16, bug #63074 (project groff):

Around comment #4, this bug report took a turn from what was originally
reported to its current state.

Assuming the messages were specifically of the form:


troff:ATTIC/makhnovshchina.groff:1: warning: special character 'u0413' not
defined


...then this issue arises from a font lacking coverage for a glyph required by
the document.  This came up again this past week on the groff development
list.
