[bug #65800] bootstrap oddity: .gitignore discrepancy

Follow-up Comment #3, bug #65800 (group groff):

It's possible this is related to Collin Funk's observation
(http://lists.gnu.org/r/bug-groff/2024-07/msg00163.html) that "bootstrap" is
out of date.  However, I first encountered it before
[http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/groff.git/commit/?id=c85e76996 commit
c85e76996] (July 12) updated gnulib.

I built again yesterday and it still happened.  But
[http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/groff.git/commit/?id=c415e26da commit
c415e26da] (updating "bootstrap" using Collin's advice) was not available yet.
