I might be able to work on it eventually but it will take a long time
still since I am very busy with the AtheOS project. I whould preferre
to just wait for somebody else to do it :)

I don't think that whould be very important. Atleast I whould not
think it was unresonable if I had to select a new default if I
added/removed a disk or repartitioned, reformatted or in any other way
made the previous default selection invalid. I think it whould be
sufficient to check that the default selection is still valid, and ask
the user to reselect one of the bootable partitions if it is not. It
should ofcorse be possible to override the default in any condition.
