Hello from Gregg C Levine normally with Jedi Knight Computers in the USA.

As it happens, there is no actual "manual" for GRUB per se, however it is contained within the download. I presume you did download the current version from the server? It is stored within the doc directory for the rest of the files. Outside of the obvious, I believe one of the other fellows will be able to help.
