Hello,
i've got the following configuration:
hdd1: Redhat 7.2 on ext3 (primary->boot)
hdd2: swap-partition (extended)
hdd3: fat32-partition (extended)
hde1: Win98-fat32-partition (primary->boot)
hde2: fat32-partition (erweitert)
I setup Grub and everything went fine (Grub was able to boot Redhat). I
configured the grub.conf manually, because Grub didn't recognize my
Win-Bootpartition in the right way. Afterwards I was able to start Win98
once without problems, but after a reboot, Grub is no more showing the
splash screen and stops on the commandline with 'grub>'. There's no error
message. Here's my grub.conf:
default=1
timeout=10
splashimage=(hd0,1)/boot/grub/splash.xpm.gz
title Red Hat Linux (2.4.7-10)
root (hd0,1)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.7-10 ro root=/dev/hdd2 hdc=ide-scsi
initrd /boot/initrd-2.4.7-10.img
title Windows
map (hd0) (hd1)
map (hd1) (hd0)
hide (hd0,0)
hide (hd0,4)
rootnoverify (hd1,0)
makeactive
chainloader +1
Could somebody give me a hint what's wrong. Thank you.
Petra
