Error 18 how to I fix this problem!!

Hi

Recently I'm having some problems with my computer here, using GRUB, I just 
installed Mandrake 8.1 and Win2000, however when I choose to boot using the 
Linux partition it doesn't work.
It shows me the folowing message

Error 18
Selected cylinder Exceeds maximum supported by BIOS

I already did some changes on my computer BIOS but didn't work. So please 
send me a reply with any solution as soon as you can.
