Hello,
I have a system where Lilo boots Debian GNU/Linux just fine but I can't
get it to boot via Grub.
The geometry is different when booting from a floppy compared to running
grub from a command line using GNU/Linux. What the Linux kernel sees at
boot and what I see using geometry (hd0) is 13446/15/63. I even set the
BIOS to these settings instead of auto detecting.
Unfortunately, when booting with grub from floppy and running geometry
(hd0) I see 839/240/63. When I give the geometry command (just like it
says in the documentation) to manually set it with the correct
parameters it doesn't seem to take effect.
Any suggestions on booting this machine via grub?
