Okuji,

I am currently negotiating some contract work with my former employer to 
(hopefully) do this very thing.

Specifically, they are interested in e1000 support.  However, one of the 
requirements they have for the project is that it be done "right" so 
that it's included in future official grub releases.  I have already 
informed them that the grub maintainers would prefer (and possibly 
require) a complete update of the pxegrub drivers, since they are known 
to be a little out of date with the current Etherboot drivers.

I should know in a few days whether or not they will have me do this.

it's quite a coincedence that this message was posted the day after I 
joined the mailing list :)   I'm sure several people would be interested 
in seeing this done.  If I can get them to fund my work, I should be 
able to devote a lot of time to this task.
