Help on GRUB version 0.92

Hi,

I have switched on my machine and have been faced with this message whilst 
booting up:

GRUB version 0.92 (639k lower/261056k upper memory)

[ Minimal BASH-like line editing is supported.  For the first word, TAB lists 
possible command completions.  Anywhere else TAB lists the possible completions 
of a device/filename. ]

grub>

And it does not progress anywhere further...

What is wrong? will I lose everything?
