This is my way. I make use of the grub shell as much as possible. It is the
fastest and most powerful way.

When I want to test the native version of GRUB, I often use Bochs.

When I want to test GRUB with a real machine, I mostly use Etherboot + nbgrub.
It's much faster than installing GRUB onto a disk.
