Dac960 problem

Hello list. I'm not joined so cc me...

When installing grub 0.94 on DAC960 based servers using the grub shell and the
usual
        root (hd0,3)
        setup (hd0)

The last part of setup which calls 'install' fails with Error 22 (Unkown
partition).

If I renenter the install command manually, but add the
        --stage2=/mnt/p4/boot/grub/stage2
option, it works fine. (Obviously, (hd0,3) is mounted on /mnt/p4.)

The whole command, from memory, is
install --stage2=/mnt/p4/boot/grub/stage2 /boot/grub/stage1 (hd0) (hd0)1+18 p
(hd0,3)/boot/grub/stage2 /boot/grub/menu.lst

This seems to be peculiar to DAC960; setup (hd0) succeeds without intervention
on normal ide machines without the --stage2 option

Is this expected behavior, or a bug?
