RE: grub without vga or serial

An idea landed on me, this morning, when I approved our friends e-mail
message. 

Marco, what your saying makes sense. Too much sense in fact. Do you
have the source for that release of GRUB? Rebuild it, but tell it to
not use that splash screen. Other then that, update things to the most
recent release of GRUB.
