Follow-up Comment #2, bug #510 (project grub):

Two specific problems in the specification:

1. The description and diagram of the mmap structures could hardly be more
confusing. Instead of describing it as “size/structure pairs”, I would
just say that mmap_addr points to the first structure. Start the offsets in
the diagram at zero not -4. To get to the next structure, add the contents of
the size field, plus 4. (This is what the code in kernel.c does.) 

2. The mmap structures indicate the regions of “available RAM.” It should
be clarified that regions containing the loaded kernel, modules, etc. are
nevertheless considered “available”.
